Case Study Videos for Educational Suppliers

Case Study Videos for Educational Suppliers2026-09-03T19:47:21+01:00

Why standard marketing messaging can put off educators – but they’ll trust case study videos

Standard marketing messaging:

Case study videos for educational suppliers:

Doesn’t resonate: Headteachers didn’t get into education to run businesses, so usually don’t like feeling like they’re being sold to. Spotlight the decision makers: Headteachers are naturally going to trust and resonate with the perspective of other headteachers.
Empty promises: School leadership teams don’t appreciate empty marketing promises that don’t back up how they’ll achieve results. Give direct evidence: While also highlighting the customer experience of working with you, case study videos allow you to show the evidence that the project was successful.
Generic: Lots of companies try to sell to the education sector without being specialists, when it’s an industry which requires a specific understanding and approach.  Sector specific: Prove you have the knowledge and expertise of the education sector by showcasing a successful project with the industry.

Built for busy Marketing Directors & Founders

“I don’t want to damage the client relationship”

I understand the important of representing your business and values with your customer. In fact, many of my clients found that the relationship with their client actually strengthened.

“What if the video doesn’t feel authentic?”

My background is as a BBC journalist, so I create a relaxed interview environment where educators can naturally share their experience and results of working with you.

“I don’t have time to manage filming”

I’m very much a videographer that you don’t need to hand-hold – and many clients trust me to run case study video shoots without being on-site themselves.

Case study videos that boost your education sector revenue

One shoot yields content for your website, sales proposals, and social media campaigns.

Step 1: Pre-Shoot Strategy & Prep:

A pre-production meeting to understand your messaging, craft targeted interview questions, and handle all scheduling logistics. I also produce a filming brief for you to review.

Step 2: On-Site Filming:

I film across the UK, bringing my two-camera interview set-up, lighting, and audio to the location.

Step 3: Main project case study

A case study hero video which tells the full story of the project; from why they needed to support, to the success they’ve seen since.

Step 4: Social Edits:

Normally three clips around 30-60 seconds each, optimised for social media and with subtitles burned in. I’m flexible on deliverables, so let me know if any other outputs are required.

Frequently Asked Questions…

Where is VideoHQ based and what areas do you cover?2026-09-01T15:36:44+01:00

My office is in Longton in Stoke-on-Trent. This is my base for the vast majority of my pre-production and editing work. However I film on-site for clients across the UK. This sees me locally cover the counties of Staffordshire, Cheshire, Derbyshire and Shropshire, as well as going further afield to shoots in London, Kent, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and more.

What’s your process for filming in multiple schools within our Trust?2026-09-01T15:45:12+01:00

I always aim to reflect both the Trust’s ethos and each individual school’s identity in videos filmed across multiple sites.

Some Trust marketing directors are happy for me to work directly with each school, while others prefer to be involved throughout the production process.

Wherever you sit on that spectrum, I’ll ensure the final videos are fully aligned with your Trust’s branding and identity.

What types of recruitment videos are most effective for attracting teachers and staff?2026-09-01T15:41:49+01:00

I’ve found that staff testimonials are a powerful way to connect with potential candidates who are a great fit for your organisation or Trust. They’re relatable, authentic, and build trust.

One approach that works particularly well is capturing these testimonials at events like conferences, away days, or training sessions – giving viewers a direct insight into how you invest in your team.

How long does it take to produce a video?2026-09-01T15:46:22+01:00

Timelines vary depending on the scope of the project, and I’ll always do our best to work around your deadlines.

In the past, I’ve booked filming with as little as a week’s notice – right through to nearly a year in advance!

While I do prefer a bit of warning where possible, feel free to get in touch even if you’re on a tight schedule.

From there, I’ll edit a first draft of the video(s) for you to review, and there’s a round of revisions included.

The editing and revisions process tends to take 1-4 weeks, depending on how quickly you can get your feedback across to me.

How do you handle safeguarding when filming inside schools?2026-09-01T15:36:20+01:00

I have an Enhanced DBS check which I can share with the school when filming with them. I work within the safeguarding policies of the individual schools, and always check to make sure filming consent forms have been signed before filming begins.

How can we involve our students and staff in the video creation process?2026-09-01T15:44:38+01:00

Staff and students don’t have to wait until the filming day to get involved – they can play a part in the pre-production process too.

While I’d usually hold pre-production meetings with members of the Senior Leadership Team and marketing directors, I can also run a messaging meeting with a wider group, including staff and student representatives.

In this session, we explore what makes your provision exceptional, what sets it apart, and what key messages need to be included in the video.

This approach helps ensure the final film genuinely reflects the whole school community – and gets everyone engaged and invested well before the cameras start rolling.

For one project for Newbridge Prep School, I even asked the children to tell me what they love about the school as part of a creative writing lesson – and these answers were used to create the script for the promotional film!

How can video help us communicate consistently across multiple schools?2025-05-14T10:23:10+01:00

Video offers a clear and engaging way to share important messages – whether it’s a leadership update, policy change, or new community initiative. It helps ensure your message is consistent, accessible, and easy to understand.

For larger organisations, it also removes the need to visit multiple sites, saving time while keeping communication consistent across your whole team.

Can you help us create content for different platforms like websites, social media, and email campaigns?2026-09-01T15:43:03+01:00

Absolutely! I tailor your video content to suit the platforms where your audience is most active.

For example, a full-length case study video might sit on a dedicated page of your website, providing in-depth insight.

From that, I can also create shorter clips – ideal for social media, blog posts, or e-newsletter inserts.

I can also capture still photography during the shoot, and produce written transcripts of interviews for you to use in marketing copy.

It’s not just about reposting the same video everywhere – it’s about creating content that’s purpose-built for each platform.

Can we repurpose video content for different uses?2026-09-01T15:50:03+01:00

Yes! You can get absolutely loads of content from one filming day, and I often securely store the raw footage for my clients so it can be re-versioned at a later date.

I want you to get the most out of your investment and time spent preparing the filming session, and this is a great way of doing that.
